$17.97 to $42.40 hourly DOE

Job Summary
The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for tracking, scheduling, performing maintenance, and related duties on the fleet of telecom vehicles and equipment.
You must possess a Commercial Driver’s License Class A, air brake certified, as well as an ASE Masters Certification in either automobile/light truck or medium/heavy truck. If you are not ASE Masters Certified, you must be willing and able to obtain at Company expense within first 6 months of employment.

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee and not intended to reflect all duties performed.
- Services, repairs, and maintains company vehicles, mounted equipment, and mobile tools in accordance with Federal, State, and corporate practices, procedures, and schedules.
- Proficient in conducting and accurately interpreting the results of diagnostic tests performed on the vehicle chassis, mounted equipment, and mobile tool fleet and for taking action to correct or repair the system problems as diagnosed.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and servicing on all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of all company vehicles, mounted equipment, and mobile tools.
- Maintain all vehicle, mounted equipment, and mobile tool records and paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Follow all appropriate laws, environmental and safety procedures and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with internal/external customers and vendors.
- Perform administrative functions in a shop environment.
- May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.
Qualifications :
- Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License Class A, air brake certified.
- Prefer ASE Masters Certified in either automobile/light truck or medium/heavy truck (Master Certification is defined as attaining certification in the automotive areas of A1 through A8 in the ASE accreditation process) or willingness to obtain at company expense within first 6 months of employment.
- Must have five years of mechanical experience.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Must possess any required state certificates (depending upon state regulations).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform simple math.
- Must be able to use technology and be computer literate.
- Must be able to follow FMCSA Drug and Alcohol protocols under 49 CFR Part 40,Part 382, and all other Federal, State, and Local regulations. This includes pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug/alcohol testing.

Work Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with the majority being performed in a garage. Some exposure to cold, heat, wind, rain, snow, and other weather phenomenon. Exposure to computer screens, cell phones, and other peripheral devices frequently.
